Centre Stage School of the Arts, Singapore was founded in 1999 to create an environment in which children can use drama to explore both the imaginative and concrete world. Celebrating 20 wonderful years this year, Centre Stage’s primary aim is to unlock the creative potential in every individual, from those who need encouragement, confidence building and enhanced self esteem, to those who have a passion for performing on the stage!

We have 3 different styles of programme at Centre Stage depending on the time of year:
Creative Arts Adventure Holiday Camps feature Drama, Movement, Music & Arts and crafts
Special Interest Programme e.g. “Play in a week”, “Film in a week” focus on a particular Musical or Story and work towards a presentation.
Specialist Performing Arts Workshops with Industry Professionals: These pop up from time to time when guest teachers are available e.g. Musical Theatre Intensive with Broadway’s Nikki Snelson or Workshops with teachers from Tring Park, UK

A Parent's Perspective

We heard about Centre Stage through word of mouth when we first arrived in Singapore.
We really love the friendly atmosphere of the school and over the last 7 years it's become a constant in our daughter's life. She has consistently participated in a number of different classes and shows, and is still there now as a teenager.
I think it's a really safe nurturing environment where children can explore their creativity in a fun way, while remaining challenged and encouraged to step outside of their comfort zones.
This is really important to learn for life in general.

As Parents, We Love...

  • Friendly family atmosphere - community
  • Wide variety of classes
  • Opportunities to perform

Our Children Love...

  • Social aspect - Camaraderie in class with fellow students and teacher
  • Working on an end-goal performance
  • Having an activity that's separate from school, and meeting other kids from different schools
